NexPeople Privacy Policy
NexPeople is local-first. Contacts and AI prompts stay on your device unless you deliberately send a contact to an accepting nearby NexPeople device with Fast Share.
NexPeople works with the contacts on your device; groups and settings stay local.
NexPeople ships no advertising or analytics SDKs and sells no data.
A contact is sent over the local network only after the receiver accepts.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the NexPeople Android app and the public NexPeople product pages operated by NextEra.One. It is written to explain how the app accesses, uses, stores and shares user data for Google Play review and for people using the app.
NexPeople does not require a NextEra.One account. If that changes, this policy will be updated before account features are released.
2. Data NexPeople accesses or stores on your device
NexPeople accesses data only for the features users would expect from this app.

3. Data collected by NextEra.One
NextEra.One does not operate an account service, analytics backend, advertising backend or sync backend for NexPeople. NexPeople does not upload your contacts to NextEra.One.
The public website may receive ordinary web server request information from visitors, such as IP address, browser type and requested page, through the hosting provider used to publish these static pages. The app itself does not send your data to that website.
When you choose to download the optional AI model, the model hosting provider receives ordinary network request information such as your IP address and requested model files. Your contacts, relationship notes and prompts are not included in those model-download requests.
4. Data sharing and user-initiated transfers
NexPeople does not sell personal and sensitive user data. Data can leave your device in these user-initiated cases:
- With Fast Share on, nearby NexPeople devices on the same network can see a short-lived NexPeople device label used for discovery.
- A Fast Share offer says that one contact is being offered but contains no contact details. Contact details are sent directly over the local network only after the receiver accepts.
- A contact can also leave your device when you deliberately share it to another app or start a call or email yourself.
- If you install or open the app through Google Play, Google processes Play Store data under Google's policies.
5. Permissions
NexPeople asks for Android permissions only when needed for its features.
- Read contacts: import device contacts into NexPeople
- Write contacts: save a new NexPeople contact to the Android contacts provider
- Local network / nearby devices: discover NexPeople peers and transfer an accepted contact on the same Wi-Fi or LAN
- Internet and network state: download optional AI model files and support local-network connectivity
- Wi-Fi multicast: discover nearby NexPeople peers while Fast Share is turned on
- Vibration: provide haptic feedback when enabled
6. Retention and deletion
- Your contacts remain in NexPeople's local store until you delete them or clear everything.
- Local settings remain on device until you change them or uninstall the app.
- NextEra.One cannot recover deleted local data because it is not synced to a NextEra.One server.
- You can also use Android Settings > Apps > NexPeople > Storage > Clear storage to remove local app data.
7. Security
NexPeople relies on Android runtime permissions, Android app sandboxing and local device storage. Because NexPeople does not run a cloud sync service, there is no NextEra.One server copy of your contacts. Fast Share limits discovery to the local network and requires acceptance before contact details are sent. Fast Share traffic is not end-to-end encrypted, so use it only on a network and with a receiving device you trust. Anything you choose to share into other apps is governed by those providers' practices.
8. Children
NexPeople is not directed to children. It is a general-purpose tool intended for users who are allowed to manage their own content on their Android device.
9. Changes and contact
NextEra.One may update this policy when NexPeople changes how it handles data. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
